Midtown Waterfront Residence for Ozuna
“A Midtown waterfront residence built for a global artist — where architectural lighting, book-matched flooring, and precision millwork come together as one coordinated system.”
A Full Custom Design-Build for a Midtown Waterfront Residence
This Midtown waterfront residence is located inside one of the neighborhood’s most exclusive towers, directly facing the sea. CM Custom Design was brought in to deliver a full custom design-build scope for the Miami residence of Ozuna, one of the world’s top reggaeton artists and one of the best-selling Latin music acts of the last decade. The brief was simple to state and difficult to execute: a residence that feels clean, modern, and undeniably luxury, where every line is intentional and every detail holds up at close range.
As a full custom design-build project, the scope went well beyond a single room or finish. CM Custom Design’s in-house team handled architectural lighting, high-end finishes, and precision-built millwork across the residence, carrying one coordinated design language from the entry hallway through the primary living spaces, the kitchen, and every bathroom. Nothing on this project was sourced piecemeal — each element was designed, fabricated, and installed in-house, the same process we bring to every custom millwork and interior design project across Miami and South Florida.
Working for a globally recognized artist added a layer most residential projects do not have: a client whose home needed to function as a private retreat first, with a finish level that matches the visibility of his career. That balance shaped every decision on this project, from how the LED lighting was integrated into the ceiling lines to how the book-matched flooring was laid out room by room.

Custom Millwork, LED Lighting, and a Kitchen Built for Precision
Custom millwork is the foundation of this residence. Every built-in, cabinet run, and architectural millwork detail was manufactured and installed by our own team, with the same standard applied throughout: consistent alignment, tight reveals, and a premium finish that holds up to close inspection. That standard carries from the custom closets and media wall into the kitchen, where the cabinetry was built to fit the space with finish-level precision rather than adapted from stock sizing.
Custom LED lighting design runs through nearly every room of the residence, integrated directly into walls and ceiling lines rather than added as a fixture afterward. In the bathrooms, that lighting was used to create a “floating” effect around vanities, niches, and ceiling coves, paired with premium detailing across tile layout and fixture alignment. The same lighting language continues into the hallways and living spaces, where it highlights architectural lines, adds depth to surfaces, and changes the atmosphere of the home from day to night.
The kitchen was custom-designed around clean geometry and seamless transitions, with a waterfall-edge island, book-matched surfaces, and cabinetry built to the millimeter for this specific layout. Flooring throughout the residence was designed and installed with book-matching, creating a one-of-one pattern that gives the home a signature visual identity found nowhere else — a detail luxury homeowners and designers increasingly ask for in high-end Miami residences.

Custom LED Lighting, Integrated Into Every Line
Rather than relying on surface-mounted fixtures, the LED lighting in this residence was built directly into the ceiling coves, wall reveals, and floor transitions throughout the home. The result is a soft, continuous wash of light that follows the architecture of each hallway and room rather than competing with it — a custom LED lighting design detail that changes the feel of the residence from a bright, clean daytime space to a warm, dramatic one at night.
Bathrooms Designed Around a “Floating” Effect
Every bathroom in the residence uses custom LED integration along walls and ceiling lines to create a floating effect around vanities, mirrors, and shower niches. That lighting was paired with premium detailing across tile layout and fixture alignment, terrazzo vanity surfaces, and matte black fixtures throughout — the kind of close-range finish quality that holds up under the same scrutiny as the rest of the home.
A Custom Kitchen Built for Precision
The kitchen was custom-designed with a focus on clean geometry and seamless transitions, from the subway tile backsplash to the panel-ready cabinetry built to fit this exact layout. Every run of cabinetry, the waterfall-edge island, and the built-in appliance walls were planned and installed as one system, with finish-level precision applied to every seam and reveal.
Custom Millwork & Built-Ins, Manufactured In-House
The floating media wall is a clear example of the custom millwork built and installed by our own team throughout this residence — manufactured off-site, then installed with the alignment and tight reveals needed for a piece this size to read as one continuous surface. The same in-house process was used for the residence’s closets, cabinetry, and architectural millwork details.
Book-Matched Flooring, One-of-One
The flooring throughout the residence was designed and installed with book-matching, pairing each slab’s natural veining across the seam to create a mirrored, one-of-one pattern rather than a repeating tile layout. Carried consistently from the living areas through the curved window wall, it gives the home a signature visual identity that is unique to this residence.
Custom Closets, Built to Fit the Space
Storage throughout the residence was treated with the same finish standard as the rest of the home, with custom shelving, hanging space, and built-in drawer units designed to fit each closet’s exact dimensions. Every closet was manufactured and installed in-house, carrying the same architectural millwork language used throughout the residence.
A Powder Room Finished in Glass
Captured just outside the residence’s glass-enclosed powder room — finished with a frosted glass sliding door and book-matched flooring throughout — is Ozuna himself, at home in the space CM Custom Design built around him. It’s a detail that reflects the project’s overall standard: no space in the residence, down to the powder room, was treated as an afterthought.
A Midtown Waterfront Residence Built for a Global Artist
This Midtown Miami waterfront residence was completed for Ozuna, one of the biggest names in reggaeton and Latin music worldwide, and the personal touches throughout the home reflect that — from custom-built display storage to spaces designed for both everyday living and hosting. For CM Custom Design, it’s a project that reflects the same level of trust we bring to every high-profile client across Miami’s luxury residential market.

For a globally recognized artist like Ozuna, a home has to work as both a private retreat and a space that reflects the level of his career — and that is exactly what this Midtown Miami waterfront residence delivers. From custom millwork and integrated LED lighting design to a fully custom kitchen and book-matched flooring throughout, every detail on this project was designed, fabricated, and installed in-house by CM Custom Design. It’s the same full custom design-build process we bring to residential, commercial, and hospitality projects across Miami and South Florida, whether the client is a private homeowner, a developer, or one of the world’s biggest recording artists.
